Event Day
What Items Are Prohibited? (Weapons & Bag Policy)
Weapons are prohibited and bag checks are common — exact prohibited-item rules are set by each venue, so check before you arrive.
For the safety of all guests, these attractions enforce security and prohibited-item rules. The exact list is set by each event organizer and is usually checked at the entrance.
- Weapons are not permitted. Firearms, knives, and other weapons are prohibited at these events — including realistic prop or costume weapons. This applies regardless of any permit.
- Bag checks are common. Many venues search bags at entry and may restrict large bags or backpacks. Bring as little as possible to speed up entry.
- Other commonly restricted items include outside food and drink, alcohol, recording equipment in some areas, and anything that could interfere with the experience or other guests' safety.
Because the specific policy varies by venue, check the event organizer's website (usually under "Know Before You Go," "FAQ," or "Safety") or contact them directly before you arrive. When in doubt, leave it at home — items refused at the gate are your responsibility.
