Dark Harbor features intense scares, strobe lighting, fog machines, and carnival rides — guests with certain health conditions should review these factors before attending.
Here is what to be aware of:
- Strobe lights and flashing effects: Used throughout the haunted mazes and on the festival grounds. Guests with epilepsy or photosensitive seizure disorders should exercise extreme caution.
- Fog and fog machines: Heavy atmospheric fog is used inside mazes and outdoors. Guests with respiratory sensitivities or asthma should consider this environment.
- Intense scares and sudden shocks: Dark Harbor features professional scare actors, sudden loud sounds, and startling effects. Guests with heart conditions or severe anxiety should consult their physician before attending.
- Carnival rides: Zero Gravity, The Zipper, Sinister Swings, and Scary Mary's Ghost Rider all involve physical motion and rotation. Guests prone to motion sickness should take precautions. All rides have height minimums (42"–52").
- Outdoor event: Much of Dark Harbor takes place outdoors. Guests with mobility challenges should wear comfortable shoes, as the event involves walking over uneven ground near the waterfront.
